I have asked this question twice now, but I'm giving in one last chance. I'm new to the Linux/Samba world and would like to move my print servers over to Samba. Before I can do that, I need to do some testing. Before I can do any testing, I need to figure out how to install an IP printer in Linux. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Daniel

You've probably not gotten a response because the question is extremely off topic. Try reposting it to one of the linux admin lists. or you could try lprng at www.astart.cpm/lprng. they have a howto htere detailing ip printer setup, once thats done it, its a no brainer sharing that [printer] through samba. *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** On 9/1/00 at 8:02 AM news4daniel@hotmail.com wrote:>I have asked this question twice now, but I'm giving in one last chance. > >I'm new to the Linux/Samba world and would like to move my print servers >over to Samba. Hi Daniel, I just did the some here in my office. Please take a look at www.cups.org. Here you find a beatiful printer server, Internet ready! I have a HP2500CM and several IP print servers from HP. Currently only the 2500CM is connected. Make sure you have a samba version (2.0.7) with CUPS compiled in. If you have any question, just mail! Ries
