Hi. Ive had UNIX passwd sync working using win95 clients and a samba (latest) SCO server. Then it stopped. Here is a snippet from the log file:- =============================Invoking '/opt/K/SCO/Unix/5.0.4Eb/bin/passwd tnichols' as password change prog ram. [1999/10/21 12:26:51, 5] lib/util_sock.c:read_with_timeout(403) read_with_timeout: timeout read. EOF from client. [1999/10/21 12:26:51, 100] smbd/chgpasswd.c:talktochild(263) talktochild: chatbuf=[*1):*] responsebuf=[Setting password for user: tnichols Password request denied. Reason: your identity is not known. =============================The request fails almost immediately. Can anyone tell me what that means? Ive checked the chat script and passwd command line and they seem fine. Besides, it DID work. One think which has changed is that recently we started getting clients logging in from the other side of an ISDN link connected to our subnet. Any connection, do you think? (The server is also a WINS server. No WinNT anywhere). Tony Nichols Bedford Industries South Australia.
