samba - Jun 1999 - NT ACL's

I've been trying to use the NT ACL's which have been added to Samba.
While
it's very nice to be able to view the settings, I've noticed that it
accepts
changes made from NT Explorer's permissions property page, but the changes
are not actually made. Am I doing something wrong or is this a limitation of
the current implementation of this feature? It would be extremely nice for
those functions to work as expected and actually override the "force
owner",
"force group", "force create mode", "force directory
mode" parameters
specified for shares.

I have been playing with samba for about 3 months.  I have not been able to
find a way to setup acl's efficiently.  I would like to be able to set
permissions for one person one way and three others all with different
permissions.  Then to also add 4 to 5 groups with all with different
permissions the same way you would in windows.  I am new to linux so I have
a hard time fully understanding the Linux permissions.  Any help would be
appreciated.
