samba - May 1999 - Does Samba have a dos to unix file conversion program

Greetings, was wondering how to handle problems regarding viewing files on
our hp server through notepad.  When we view files via note pad we all see
the carriage return(unix) making the file a little difficult to read.  If
samba had a some kind of file conversion utility that would be great.
Please advise.

Don't use notepad. There are other problems as well. I use Professional File
Editor(PFE32).

You can mount a separate drive for shares with files you mentioned with
an option
conv=auto, but it can make them unusable too. Use another editor, e.g.
emacs for DOS.
