Any way to check user/password on an NT PDC ? (solved)
I've found what I needed: see http://www.hacom.nl/~richard/software/smb_auth.html ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Sat, 10 Apr 1999 18:31:19 -0300 (ART) From: "Ing. I would like to know if it is anything around (command, lib, etc ) that, given a username/password in my Linux box, check it against an NT PDC. Maybe it will be more clear what I need, if I explain why I need it: I'm setting up a Linux box whith squid 2.2.x and I want to only let browse out valid users of certain NT domain. I plan to use the new "proxy auth" feature of squid, that consist in call an external programa passing it user/pass and checking its output. I can make that program, but I need a lib or so to do the authentication. If I don't get any useful answer I will have no more remedy than doing some ugly thing using smbclient :) Thanks in advance Javier Kohan
