> Does the same fix for windows 95 fix windows 98? Does anyone know for sureThe answer to your question is yes. Below is the exact location in the registry file to insert a new DWORD value EnablePlainTextPassword to decimal 1. That is all that is needed. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\VNETSUP Hope this helps... Jason ;-) P.S. John D. Maag wrote:> I appreciate it. You have tried the NT 4.0 registry fix on 98 and it works for sure?Well, I _was_ quite sure until I looked at the registry of the win98 box... Of course, it was the win95 registry fix (..\VxD\VNETSUP) I used. It worked for sure until this box crashed completely this morning. (The first win98 box in our company, maybe it's a bad sign ;-) I'm so sorry. I will never say anything again before I checked it twice. Ludolf
