samba - Jul 1997 - How to find a netbios name

Hi,

Can somebody tell me a way to get the netbios name when I only know
the IP number ? nslookup won't work for me since we are using DHCP
(which the DNS server doesn't know about). Since the Samba software
knows about both worlds, I was wondering if there is a way to use it
for that purpose. 'smbclient -I w.x.y.z' still needs a service name
and 'nmblookup' goes from name to number (and I want it the other way
around). Is it impossible or did I just mis some trick ?
