Greetings, I submitted a patch for a new feature for rsync through bugzilla last December. Wayne said he was leaning toward including the new feature I proposed in rsync 3.1. Nearly ten months later, there is still no rsync 3.1. :-) Is there any information available about the timeline of upcoming releases? Thanks, Jonathan Kamens -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://lists.samba.org/pipermail/rsync/attachments/20111009/94f5ef60/attachment.html>
No answer to this? None at all? There are a couple protocol-affecting issues that I'd like to nail down before I advance on a pre-release. The code is in a good enough state for use in its pre-release form, though -- we use it where I work, for instance. And since it has the protocol-protection logic built-in these days, it will handle the switch from the pre-release protocol 31 to the final protocol 31 without issue. ..wayne.. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
