Installation Issue

Hi,

First of all, I have been searching through the forum to try to resolve
this problem.

I''m walking through some tutorials from lynda.com and after I issue the
command "rails my_app", everything seems to go fine.  I am able to
browse my application on WEBrick via http://localhost:3000.

However, if I click on the RoR-generated "About your application''s
environment" (under "You''re riding Ruby on Rails!", I
get the following
error message:

"We''re sorry, but something went wrong.  We''ve been
notified about this
issue and we''ll take a look at it shortly."

This error was first found after I added a simple controller and view to
my project and attempted to browse to http://localhost/say/hello --> I
got the same error.

The first thing I did was to stop the IIS 7 service then restart WEBrick
but that didn''t help.

I then checked the development.log which led me to this post:

So, I deleted the entire project and recreated it by using "rails -d
mysql my_app".  Same problem.  I then tried "gem install
sqlite3-ruby".
That didn''t help either.

As of now, this is where I stand.

Disregard.  MySQL 5.1 is not compatible.

Hi

   First you have to install the mysql adapter gem issue at console

sudo gem install mysql

And also you have to specify database connection settings in 
config/database.yml
