Hi, I am making a dummy social networking website for my school project. Can anyone guide me on as to how to manage a social network on RoR? I want to do following things: 1. Make public profiles 2. Send friend request. 3. Accept/ decline friend requests. 4. Notify people of changes in the profiles of their friends. Here I need help particularly for managing one''s network of friends and would really appreciate if someone can help me on point no. 2, 3 and 4. Thanks, Tyche --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. Hi Tyche, I would recommend doing some research for your school project.
For example, you can take a look at Chapter 14 of ''Railspace:
Building A
Social Networking Website with Ruby on Rails'' by Michael Hartl and
Aurelius
Prochazka.
Good luck,
-Conrad
ps: Please remember that this is a school project and this project should
teach you how to learn not
copy.
