I have started creating an insurance premium finance quoting application with Ruby on Rails, and I am searching for a partner to work with me. I have been developing software for an insurance premium financing company for a few years now (in C# <insert sad emoticon>), and have received their blessing to create this application on my own. My position in the industry has enabled me to observe this unmet demand. The market for such a thing consists of between 1 and hundreds of premium finance companies, so it could potentially be quite profitable. The application is amenable to RoR, and I am thrilled to be using RoR, since it is totally awesome. I want to partner together with somebody who has been working with RoR for longer than I have (i.e. longer than a month), but they must be very smart, located in Chicago, available to work about 15-20 hours a week, and they should also be familiar with javascript, prototype, scriptaculous, css/html and browser quirks. I cannot pay you; rather we would go into this as partners. I prefer to work with someone who is really, really into computer science and math, like me. If you''re interested, please send me an email.
