The state of dev.rubyonrails.org has been depressing for at least a few days now (perhaps longer). Rather than bitching about it, how might we help? Can whomever manages dev.rubyonrails.org let us know here where we might send hardware, cash, etc., so that our favorite framework can have a decent home? Hi Danny, Danny Burkes wrote:> The state of dev.rubyonrails.org has been depressing > for at least a few days now (perhaps longer).A major attack on the root DNS servers began day before yesterday. It continues. As reported on cnn.com http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/internet/02/06/internet.attacks.ap/index.html According to the reports, the attack''s primarily focused on the organization that''s responsible for the .org domains.> Rather than bitching about it, how might we help?Excellent attitude, dude! Re: dev.rubyonrails.org is sad
Hrm, I doubt that''s the problem. I''m able to get a lookup just fine, but after that, it just crawls. If it was a DNS issue only, then lookups would be slow or timeout, and after that the checkout would be fast. Is there any information on this. I agree that it''s a good attitude that I''d like to also go along with, is there anything that can be done to help? So many folks rely on svn:externals for local development, production deploys, and plugins. Textdrive, our gracious host, are addressing the issue. jeremy --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group.
