Rails - Jan 2007 - [ADV] Ruby on Rails plus JRuby training workshop - St. Louis, MO Feb 22-24

Hello fellow Rubyists,

My partner, Mike Sullivan, and I are hosting a 3 day training workshop
titled Ruby on Rails plus JRuby
<http://inspiredhorizons.com/training/rails>in St. Louis, MO Feb. 22nd
through 24th.

This hands-on workshop is for beginning to intermediate web developers who
want to get a solid foundation of Ruby on Rails (through version 1.2).  You
will come away with a practical knowledge of the technology so you can be
productive on your own.

We will cover the basics of Ruby, all the major aspects of Rails, and ways
to boost productivity using key plugins such as MasterView and AAA. We will
also cover JRuby, demonstrating how to to leverage an existing enterprise
Java codebase while rapidly doing new development and refactoring with
Rails.

As a project to aid learning throughout the workshop, attendees will create
a flexible portal/CMS system, building in new functionalities during each
lesson.
