The application is designed primarily for developers writing applications with dynamic and markup languages commonly used for internet applications. Araelium Edit features a project management environment along with multi-language aware source code editing. Araelium Edit projects can bring together in one place all the files associated with the development project. Source code, master graphics files, requirements documents, reference specifications, documentation, project management, and more. Any document that may be an active component of the project, or a useful reference can be organized into the project by including it directly into the project, or by reference to the file wherever it is located on your system including server volumes. The source code editor features multi-document windows, multi- document search with regular expressions, user-defined syntax definitions, user-defined "function" label extraction, and several tools for auto completing and inserting text and language constructs. The goal in developing the Araelium Edit application was to provide an a rich, Cocoa-based, OS X-specific development environment with signficant attention to user interface and functionality which was lighter and more usable than the heavy development IDEs, and yet more advanced than the simple editors currently available. The Preview release has been made available to get early feedback on the direction of the user interface, and to leverage the feedback from developers working with various languages so the application can address unique needs. The application can be downloaded now from http://www.araelium.com/ and users are encouraged to join the public talk list to discuss the application.
