I am trying to give the new RMagick Integration a spin. I''ve previously used file_column with great success. I have the following in my model (release.rb): file_column :record_cover, :magick => {:versions => { "small" => "50x50", "medium" => "90x90", "large" => "200x200>"}} Unfortunately, this seems to break my model. When I try to use it anywhere, I get: Missing model release.rb When I comment out the file_column or even just remove the ''magick'' part, the model can be used. So, what am I doing wrong? How can I figure out why it is dying? I''m using Rmagick as follows: This is RMagick 1.9.3 ($Date: 2005/10/13 23:01:29 $) Copyright (C) 2005 by Timothy P. One idea: Have you installed rmagick with rubygems or on your own? Sebastian

I can use RMagick on its own now, however it seems file_column does not find it. (A rails log is http://rafb.net/paste/results/yw6Mdh13.html if that helps) Any ideas? Stephan

You should be able to locate this line easily in "file_column-0.3/lib/magick_file_columb.rb" and replace it with a line thats appropriate for your setup. Does this help? I''ll try to be more gentle in the next version and try both "requiregem" and "require". Sebastian
My problem was that RMagick wasn''t installed as a gem. It appears it won''t work if you install it manually.> From: Stephan Oehlert <stephan.oehlert-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org> > Reply-To: <rails-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org> > Date: Tue, 1 Nov 2005 14:22:21 +0100 > To: <sebastian.kanthak-ZS8b95Whz3sUSW6y5lq3GQ@public.gmane.org>, <rails-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org> > Subject: Re: [Rails] File Column/RMagick Problem > > [..] >>> Unfortunately, this seems to break my model.
