Hi, Complete noob to rails. Before I even start heading down te ror path - I want to ask a question. What if my client has a lot of logic within the db already? For instance usually I''m calling procedures to do both selects and inserts/updates. Java''s (or .Net) current solution would be to use ibatis instead of a straight ORM like hibernate. How does ActiveRecord handle this kind of thing? Ease it easy to do sql calls directly if I need to? Thanks, Ben _______________________________________________ Rails mailing list Rails-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org http://lists.rubyonrails.org/mailman/listinfo/rails
First post - sorry. Looks like the [Rails] didn''t get added automically, so I''m just adding it to the subject now. ah - I figured something funky was going on - thanks for clearing that up. I doubted everyone had to manually put [Rails] in the subject, but I wasn''t sure. looks like ibatis is working on it: http://ibatis.apache.org/ On 10/26/05, Ben Anderson <benanderson.us-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org> wrote:> ah - I figured something funky was going on - thanks for clearing that up. > I doubted everyone had to manually put [Rails] in the subject, but I wasn''t > sure. > > > On 10/26/05, Warner Onstine <warnero-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org> wrote: > > That''s gmail doing it''s thing (yeah, kinda annoying I know).
