I have three versions installed from the gem''s library, 0.13.1, 0.14.1, 0.14.2. I am curious how do I deploy a 0.13.1 rails project? Traditionally you would run "rails path/to/project", but that will deploy the latest version, which is currently not stable. How do I deploy a specific version? Re: [vanruby-discuss] Re: How to deploy an older rails version?
deploy ? you seems more to be talking about creating a new app than deployment.... you gotta consider than starting from an old version will ask you to upgrade anyway. and the upgrade process is a lot better in 0.14.x as far as I know. even though 0.14.x is still not as stable as the now famous 0.13.1. I''d recommend going with the latest anyway. you won''t have to updrade, and in development, its better to have the latest stuff. in production you''ll freeze/lock your application to your specific version.
