Hi, After installing MySql 5.0 (was working fine with MySql 4.1 and ActiveRecord 12.1), i got the following message: "Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client". Recompile your MySQL Ruby bindings. Generally this is from your bindings being linked against an older version of the client library. Alternatively, some versions of MySQL offer the ability to use an older style password hash to remove this hurdle. Though my gut tells me that 5.0 is too big a milestone to get away with this...
