I followed this guide: http://www.napcs.com/howto/railsonwindows.html#_Toc111133460 And had it working nicely where I could run webbrick and edit files. However, after installing the web developer tools plugin and dependencies and restarting eclipse I am now getting this error when I open up a .rb file or run webbrick: "Unable to create this part due to an internal error. Reason for the failure: The editor class could not be instantiated. This usually indicates that the editor''s class name was mistyped in plugin.xml." Never seen that one before. Did you make sure to grab all of the required files for that plugin when you did the install? * Expand the Eclipse.org update site node and enable the WTP 0.7 checkbox. Click the Select Required button to enable the features required by WTP which are not already installed. Click Next to continue. * Review and accept the license agreements for each Feature and click Next, then Finish. If you get really stuck, email me off the list and I''ll see if I can help. I do have an installer available that will configure this but I''m afraid to publish it anywhere for fear of it bringing my server down :) -----Original Message----- From: rails-bounces-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org [mailto:rails-bounces-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org] On Behalf Of Steve Odom Sent: Thursday, October 20, 2005 1:56 PM To: rails-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org Subject: [Rails] Error opening Eclipse I followed this guide: http://www.napcs.com/howto/railsonwindows.html#_Toc111133460 And had it working nicely where I could run webbrick and edit files. Thanks for the great tutorial, Brian. Yes I did expand the selection to "Select Required" and confirmed by seeing several new check marks,as well as the long download and install time. I am stuck. Done my google searches. Reboots, etc. I would be interested in grabbing your installer. It''s possible that the downloads didn''t work for you. I wonder if the site you picked has all the files. Email me directly (railsdev-rHDbNCpS0yAAvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org) and I''ll send you the download link to the installer. -----Original Message----- From: rails-bounces-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org [mailto:rails-bounces-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org] On Behalf Of Steve Odom Sent: Thursday, October 20, 2005 2:30 PM To: rails-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org Subject: Re: [Rails] Error opening Eclipse Thanks for the great tutorial, Brian.
