I''d like to install Ruby on Rails on my development machine which happens to be on a network without internet access. Gems won''t work for me. I download the Rails .zip from the web site but it isn''t immediately evident how to get it hooked up to Ruby. Can someone please point me to a tutorial? Thank you! -Cliff

You have to install them in the correct order yourself. I haven''t done it in a while, but iirc the order is ActiveSupport ActiveRecord ActionPack ActionMailer ActionWebService Rails Chris

Re: Re: Rails install on Windows without network connectivity
Thanks, that tutorial hit the nail on the head. In case anyone finds this thread here is the correct order according to that tut: Activesupport Actionpack Actionmailer Activerecord Actionwebservice Rake Rails On 10/20/05, Sitsofe Wheeler <sitsofe-/E1597aS9LQAvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org> wrote:> Cliff Meyers wrote: > > I''d like to install Ruby on Rails on my development machine which > > happens to be on a network without internet access.
