Rails - Oct 2005 - api.rubyonrails.org

I know that you can view the gem documentation using gem_server
locally, but is there something preinstalled with rails that will
display the api like the site api.rubyonrails.org, but locally?

Download the tar.gz file, from the ruby on rails website. That  
package bundles along the documentation.
