I''ve got a web app done in ColdFusion that reads RSS feeds, parses them and then stuffs the results into an application scope structure variable. The feeds are timestamped so that I''m not calling the actual feeds more than 1 time an hour. I know that I can stuff this into a database, but it seems like this would be a lot of traffic back and forth between the database especially for information that doesn''t change but once an hour. I can''t seem to find many links about caching partial pages in rails either. Is there a scope that''s the equivalent of an application scope in rails?
