Hi all *busts out of lurk mode with a start* Is there a reason why (at least on my setup w/ Sqlserver) update_attribute generates SQL for the entire row? I find this .. bad .. for several reasons, for example I can''t use a schema with computed columns (which cannot be updated), and it generates more DB load than is preferable. Am i missing something? Is this a bug? is it specific to the sqlserver adapter? Is there a better way (apart from find_by_sql in tandem with save_without_validation) to save only one or a few columns in a row? -- cheers, David Lee _______________________________________________ Rails mailing list Rails-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org http://lists.rubyonrails.org/mailman/listinfo/rails
