Yes I am having these delays as well. But I noticed a week ago
or so that the list maintainer said that he install postgrey spam
filter on the list. Postgrey is a grey filter type of spam deterent.
It works very well but it can significantly slow down the delivery of
mail as the messages go onto the grey list and get approved and
delivered later.

Yeah, I had a 10-hour delay a few days back. This mail will probably show up on the list in about 12 hours. The headers say it all. I use greylisting on a cluster I administrate, and we don''t get nearly this terrible performance.
