Rails - Aug 2005 - New Rails-based podcasting site

Hello all,

In the tradition of announcing new sites out there using rails, I''m
telling you about the
site I''ve been working on for the past eight months.

podOmatic is a site that riffs off of the idea of podcasting, providing tools
for
creating and syndicating podcasts as well as a new technology that lets you
focus your
podcast to a small group (even one person).

It''s at http://www.podomatic.com .

The ruby community has provided a large chunk of the technology on which
podOmatic is
based, and of course, it''s running on rails.

It''s in beta right now, so there are still some functional and cosmetic
bugs.  We don''t
charge anything to use the site, so come by and check it out.  I''ll be
happy to answer
any questions or comments via this list or otherwise.
