Hi, At the beginning of the second full paragraph on page 478: "During their initial tests to ASSERT whether Rails was ..." "Assert" should be "ascertain", "determine", or some other word with a similar meaning. Responses to anticipated questions and comments: 1) Yes, I could decipher the intended meaning of the sentence. If that''s the standard for copyediting, then there''s no need to make a correction. 2) No, "assert" is not correct: To assert something means to confidently and forcefully state something. To ascertain something means to find something out for certain.
