Rails - Aug 2005 - Anyone interested in Firefox sidebar with Rails docs?

Hello RailsBois!

I''ve just finished new version of DevBoi sidebar (Firefox extension; 
devboi.mozdev.org) which now includes Rails docs (0.13.1). Anyone 
interested in this? I don''t know if I will publish it public or make 
some Ruby branch of basic DevBoi, so I need to know if someone finds 
this useful.

Martin,

I like it. I think you shouldn''t make a branch, but a configuration
popup
w/ checkboxes to select the documents to include in the select box would 
be fine.

That is definetely very useful. Although the links didn''t work in my 
Deer Alpha 2 install. It would also be very nice to have the Ruby 
Built-in and Standard Libs included as seen on ruby-doc.org.

I tried it in FireFox 1.06 for OS X, and it doesn''t work--in fact, it
removes all the other extensions from the tools menu and doesn''t show
up
itself.

Sounds like a very cool tool to have.

DevBoi so rocks!  Thanks Martin!  Having a CSS/HTML/DOM/Ruby/Rails 
directory at my fingertips is terrific.  Wish I had this a few weeks ago 
when I was learning CSS.

Already useful.  One suggestion:  If you can integrate appropriate Ruby 
core/language docs, and Javascript docs, that''d make this an utterly 
complete reference for my rails programming.

I''m running WinXP w/2 button mouse. I can''t find any way to
emukate the
middle button (clicked, chorded, went to the control panel). Also from 
the usabilty side my fingers are well trained with Ctrl-Left-Click in 
Firefox.

Do you have a wheel on the mouse?  Clicking a link with the mouse-wheel 
opens in new tab for me on firefox (windows xp)

just installed it. Wow! Great! i hope its development will be as 
fast/mature as [Mr. Tech][1]. i prefer use the local one as i´m using 
dialup here. and i like railish CSS style of show source code instead of 
pop up for show source code. or like rdoc -S.
i got blank/white color when my mouse hovers on the link 
Ruby::Array::each. hope this css will be fixed.
search option with autocompletion for devboi would be great i think.

I had the same problem with firefox (1.0.6; linux). What worked, though, 
was to just right-click the link, download and save the file locally, and 
then open the local file with firefox...

No - don''t ask me, why firefox couldn''t download it to install
it
directly... *scratchingmyhead*
