I''m a recent rails adoptee, and I''m now using it in production for the public site for the political campaign I''m working for. Switching was the best move I ever made. However, I''m in a bit of a pickle. I''ve been spending a great deal of time working on the external site, but now we''re in need of an internal/groupware solution. And unfortunately, to keep up with the rigourous development timeline for the external app(s), I don''t have the time to develop my own from scratch. I have looked around, but all of the rails-based project management apps I found (including basecamp, although i still heart it) just don''t fit. We really need the shared calendaring, and the milestones paradigm just doesn''t jive. I also tried implimenting eGroupWare, but oh my gosh is it a mess. There still might be some hope in being able to coax it into working. But, It''d really be nice to find an app that wasn''t so needy. So, my wisened comrades, might one of you have any thoughts or suggestions? I would still really love to find a rails-based solution, but at this point I''ll settle for anything that doesn''t totally suck. Thanks in advance! -- Dan Weinand
I''m not sure that there is such a thing (yet), but out of curiosity would you list all the features that you would want in such an application? Maybe put those features on the wiki so that when someone finally does build it they can incorporate the features you want. -Shalev On 8/8/05, Dan Weinand <dweinand-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org> wrote:> I''m a recent rails adoptee, and I''m now using it in production for the > public site for the political campaign I''m working for. The only thing I liked so far is dotproject (dotproject.com). See the online demo. Martijn
