Rails - Aug 2005 - Any utility for tag stripping?

Hi,

I''d like to strip markup from a given string. As that''s a
common task I thought
there''d be a Rails helper for it, but I can''t seem to find
one. Does it need to
be written or am I just looking in the wrong place?
