Of course, I''m allowing for the switch from Netscape > to Mozilla to Firefox. Also, no matter how much we like > FireFox, it was _very_ long in coming...Yes, and same with MacOS X. And I''d bet Joel would argue -- or anyone could argue; especially long-time Mac-users -- that the MacOS is indeed in the recycle-bin of software history. How many of us either still use MacOS 9 or run apps in "Classic" mode? As we all know, MacOS X is by and large, Next technology and it''s a far, far different beast from the original MacOS. Don''t get me wrong... as different as MacOS X is from "Classic" it is also a far, far better OS. But, I do get a little wispy whenever I see that old Classic OS running on my Powerbook and my next Mac won''t even have the option to run Classic anymore as Classic won''t run on Intel hardware. And in that sense, I would argue that the MacOS is ancient history. Y''know, there''s just no room for sentimentality in the technology industry... Sorry for going waaaay OT.
