Rails - Jun 2005 - Duplicate key inserting a new entry in MySQL

Hi again,

I''ve following ''Rolling with Ruby on Rails'' tutorial
and I''ve created
a table in my MySQL
4.1.11 database.

I''ve created a model and a controller in order to have CRUD operations
on the table.
When I create the first entry all works fine, but when I try to create
another more entries
I get this error message:

#23000Duplicate entry ''0'' for key 1: INSERT INTO recipes
(`title`,
`date`, `description`, `instructions`)

This is the script I used to create the table:

create table recipes (
	id integer not null primary key,
	title varchar(255) not null,
	description varchar(255) null,
	date date null,
	instructions text not null)

Which type must be the primary key? Is it wrong?

Hi,

Make sure you set the id column as auto_increment. That should solve the 
problems you are having.
