Rails - Jun 2005 - script/generate permissions

Hello!

I''m new to Linux so I might just be doing something incorrectly but
whenever
I create new files using script/generate x and then try to access these
files via a Samba share I''m unable to edit and save them.

I have issued a chmod -R 777 on the entire Rails app and end up doing that
again after I issue a script/generate call.

If I simply create a new file, for instance a new controller I don''t
get
these errors.

What should I do differently, if anything, to avoid these constant (and
annoying) errors.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
