Rails - Jun 2005 - Ubuntu Hoary install: are there unofficial repositories anywhere?

Hello,

I''ve seen the wiki article[1] on installing Rails on Ubuntu, but before
I begin installing software via means other than apt-get I thought I''d
check with the community - has anyone packaged Rails on an unofficial
repository anywhere? 

With all the attention both Ubuntu and Ruby on Rails has been receiving
lately I''d expect that someone, somewhere, somehow has made lovely debs
for us crazys that believe in the one-true-packaging system.

I didn''t think you could point Hoary at a Debian repository though...

I wrong? Have you done this? The big problem with Ruby''s packages, as I
understand it, is the lack of a virtual package that wraps up all the
required dependencies for Rails. I''d expect a mix of Debian and Ubuntu
repositories to break things good and proper.

If you point your apt/sources.list at the debian repo and install the  
rails.deb then remove the debian repo without installing anything  
else form there you will be fine. I have done that one 3 hoary boxes  
without any problems.
