Rails - Jun 2005 - Localization: session gotcha

Just found a weird issue with gettext... my app was translated and then 
put online, however after putting it up we noticed that our error 
messages hadn''t been translated. We made the mods, however I still 
wasn''t getting my error messages in the target language. Then on a whim
I cleared the cookie file and BLAMMO! it worked. What does gettext use 
the session for?

Hi Ben,
     gettext doesn''t use your session. In fact gettext doesn''t
even
know it is running in a rails environment. Your session might  
remember the locale that gettext should be using however.

     Maybe inspect your session object for other clues.
