Marketing guru Seth Godin looking for a few good web people
You might have heard of Seth Godin from his books ("Unleashing the
Ideavirus" and my favorite free one, "The Bootstrapper''s
Bible"). After
putting together the interesting website ChangeThis.com last summer,
Godin is moving on to new, big ideas and he''s calling for web-savvy
"interns" to help him. This one''s supposed to be a profitable
business,
so if you have the skillset and are willing to work a summer (mostly
from home with two NY meetings) for $4000, check out his plan:
http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_summer_intern_proje/
It looks mostly like a web design position, with outsourcing of "the
heavy duty coding", but maybe there''s some web designer working
with
Rails who could convince him that the heavy stuff may not be that heavy,
with the right tools.
Note that Godin has offered a $1000 bounty to whoever helps find his
team. Since he''s got me talking about it, I guess his viral marketing
ideas really work. Well, that, and I''d like to see Rails get another
foothold :)
But it does look like a great opportunity to work with a known
mover-and-shaker in the web world.
