Hi all, I''m releasing a new version of the search_generator. Included in this release: * Better Documentation - see the new README after running the generator * Default Search Terms - if your users do not put in any search terms, specify some defaults * Configurability - after running script/generate a search.yml file is installed allowing the configuration of: - default search terms - location of the SimpleSearch index file * Refactored to allow for ''search backends''. SimpleSearch is the only one now. Looking into Zed Shaw''s Ruby/Odeum as an additional backend. I''ve had a couple of requests for a demo site, and I''m putting one together an example site. So please be patient. To install: 1) gem install search_generator 2) script/generator search Search 3) Read the README_SEARCH file that is generator for indexing instructions and customization options If you still want the .tgz or .zip files, feel free to download them: http://www.hinegardner.org/dist/pkg/ http://rubyforge.org/projects/searchgenerator/ As always, comments and criticism are welcome. enjoy, -jeremy -- ======================================================================= Jeremy Hinegardner jeremy-eg9WJcVQRd1EMKyauTCisw@public.gmane.org
