At http://rails.rubyonrails.com/classes/ActionController/Base.html#M000150 in the first line of the `url_for'' documentation, it says: > (For doing a complete redirect, use redirect_to). url_for is used to: It seems as if the explanation of what "url_for is used to" do is abruptly chopped off (so i still don''t know how it differs from `redirect_to''). Also, under `hidden_actions'' it says: > More methods can be hidden using hide_actions. Which, i think, is supposed to be `hide_action'' ? Also, i still don''t get (at the top, just before `Requests''): > Also note that it’s the final call to process_cgi that actually > initiates the action performance. It will extract request and > response objects from the CGI. As i said in another message, i can find no call to `process_cgi'' in any (non-test, non-doc) code on my machine, but things work. I could understand this if this referenced the case where you happen to be explicitly using some kind of CGI mechanism, but the doc. doesn''t read this way at all. craig
