Rails - Apr 2005 - Date selection?

I spent the afternoon trying to utilise various bits of (downloaded)
javascript to popup a ''calendar'' window to allow the user to
select a
date.  I appreciate there is the basic date helper function but I''d
like to use something better.

Cut a long story short, I couldn''t get one to work properly within an
RHTML file (though in just basic HTML worked).

Has anybody achieved this before?

Yes.  :-)

I''ll send you a version I did off the list (since I really do not want
to go through and isolate the calendar code).
