Rails - Jan 2005 - rails on windows?

hi all,

i''m new at rails, new at ruby.

i''ve installed ruby (1.82.) and rails on windows 2000

so, two questions. 

one:, the mysql gem is giving me a  "Failed to build gem native 
extension." by the way, i also get this error when installing on my linux 
box at home.


two: can i run rails on IIS?

You''d better off using the pre-compiled version of Ruby for Windows
from
the One-Click Ruby Installer at 
http://rubyforge.org/projects/rubyinstaller/. And installing the latest 
version of Rails with "gem install rails". It works flawlessly.
