does it not work? works fine for me on all other browsers and platforms.
I''ve had mixed responses with scriptaculous and Safari. That''s why we only use AJAX for client CMS/other website UI, and internal/private use. -Rob Louis Walch wrote:> does it not work? > works fine for me on all other browsers and platforms. > _______________________________________________ > Rails-spinoffs mailing list > Rails-spinoffs-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org > http://lists.rubyonrails.org/mailman/listinfo/rails-spinoffs >

As far as I know, scriptaculous has (or at least aims for) full compatibility with safari. I disagree with this, I find Effect.Appear and Effect.BlindDown don''t work with Safari -Rob Tom Riley wrote:> > > > On 8 Feb 2006, at 23:02, Louis Walch wrote: > >> does it not work? >> works fine for me on all other browsers and platforms. > > > I''m using sortables and they work great on safari. Really? I''ve used both several times and they''ve worked fine. The demos on the wiki work too. <continuing accidently finished message...> Really? I''ve used both several times and they''ve worked fine. The demos on the wiki work too. Admittedly, I''m using the latest Safari (2.0.3) - I wouldn''t be too surprised if the older versions have some problems. I am fairly sure I also tested Sortable, but I don''t remember for sure. Greg
It might have been the method I was using to activate the effect. FYI the site was http://www.searchfour.co.uk/search?what=foo&where=&action, and it''s the "more info" links in the supplementary SERPS. The links are hidden for Safari browsers. I should update that to the latest s.a.u really. Might fix the annoying FF bugs. -Rob Gregory Hill wrote:>><continuing accidently finished message...> >> >>Really? However, I eventually found that is was due to event.unload cache... it wrought havoc with alot of the effects. You wouldn''t be using that when you are experiencing problems are you... it can be anywhere in your code to cause problems. Ian
