I know this doesn''t necessarily fall under AJAX, but does anyone have any plans of donating a RTE (Rich Text Editor) plugin to scriptaculous?
Hi Singh, There is no need to put RTE into scriptaculous, it can be used separately, in paralell to scriptaculous. At least I''m using TinyMCE http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/ that way. To me, a Rich Text Editor is more of a javascript application then a library component. Take a look at these http://www.fckeditor.net/demo/demo03.html http://dojotoolkit.org/docs/rich_text.html On Nov 25, 2005, at 1:35 AM, Maninder, Singh wrote:> I know this doesn''t necessarily fall under AJAX, but does anyone > have any plans of donating a RTE (Rich Text Editor) plugin to > scriptaculous? > _______________________________________________ > Rails-spinoffs mailing list > Rails-spinoffs-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org > http://lists.rubyonrails.org/mailman/listinfo/rails-spinoffs
Thanks Casey. Yes, I know that. But, like you would see from your links given below, dojotookit has it as part of the download. This is what I was talking about. And they made the integration of the editor also easy with their code. Since I use scriptaculous and simply love it, was wondering if we all can setlle on an editor and make it available as part of scripaculous download. Even if not, no problem - I got enough links from you guys :) Cheers, Mandy. Agreed. I think it makes sense to integrate a rich text editor with Scriptaculous and make sure it works seamlessly together. If someone ends up doing this they could donate this integration back to Scriptaculous. On 11/28/05, Maninder, Singh <mandiv-W2hqgAdRMsX2eFz/2MeuCQ@public.gmane.org> wrote:> Thanks Casey.
