Donations to Xiph
I have a few thoughs and questions about donating to
Xiph that I hop you have a minute for. Here we go:
== "Who donated what" list ==
As it seems we don't have a "Who donated what" list.
I thought creating such a list could increase motivation
to donate to some parties. What I currently have in mind
would be to start list...

Trouble getting select to work
I''ve tried pulling this together from examples in the book, searching
the web and this list, but so far I''ve not been able to get it working
just right.
My table is a categories table with id and category fields.
My form has the following:

voip-info.org unreliable lately?
Anyone have any insight as to why voip-info.org has been up and down all
day, and more importantly unreliable for the last month?
I assume the bandwidth is being donated or something, but surely someone
would be willing to donate reliable bandwidth as the knowledge hosted on
the site (which is also donated!) is worth way more than the bandwidth.
There is no doubt it is the best

Donation programme
Is there any decision about the donation programme?
The Web page still says: "If you are looking to make a cash dontation to
the CentOS Project, please check back here after August 15th, 2009."
I assume that donations aren't refused, but is there a suggested amount,
as there used to be?

centos friends?
...ot;The CentOS team would like to remind you that the primary means of
substaining the development of CentOS is via contributions by CentOS users.
CentOS is now, and will continue to be totally free; however, it takes money
and resources to make CentOS available.
If you are able, please consider donating to the CentOS Project. Donations of
promo material, public mirrors and dedicated servers are all vital to our

Make a donation via PayPal? (was: [R] Monetary support to the R-project)
Dear R developers
I understand that this is not a proper r-devel message, but it still
touches to the organisation of the R project.
I would like to make a small donation to the project, but I am not
comfortable with sending my credit card details via post or mail and,
as echoed elsewhere on r-help, would prefer to go through a generally
accepted service such as PayPal.
Would there be any

Donating
I've never really liked all these donation buttons in web pages, or
receiving donations at all, but as some extra money could make my life
easier in the next few months, I thought I'd give it a try.

(And if you're wondering how I could still promise those 1000 euros for
a security hole, I've a credit card but I'd rather not use it :) Also

How to send in donations via check? and some other suggestions.
Greetings.
I have just successfully updated a RH-9 file server to CentOS-3.1. I'm
VERY impressed. I have a client who has 4 Redhat servers (1 x 7.3 and 3
x 9.0) that I would like to migrate to CentOS-3.1.
Question: My client is willing to send a donation for these boxes but
they just want to send you (caosity.org) a check that will cover the
next couple of years.

R Founding
A few days ago Tal Galili posted a message about some controversies
concerning the future of R. Having read the discussions, especially those
following Ross Ihaka's post, I have come to the conclusion, that, as usual,
the problem is money. I doubt there would be discussions about dropping R in
its present form if the R-Foundation were properly funded and could hire
computer scientists,

Donation to the FLAC development project
Hi,
I have a legitimate request for information about how I can contribute to
the development of FLAC. I am not a developer, but would like to make a
financial contribution. FLAC has immensely enhanced my enjoyment of music.
Please let me know if this is an inappropriate forum for this request.
Please respond.
Thank you.

CentOS 5 is done, now it's time to donate!
CentOS 5 is great! Job well done!
Please *consider* making a donation to the project, if you can, to
reward the developers and keep them motivated. That way we can be
assured of getting CentOS 6!
I used the "Donate Now" link on the CentOS home page -- it was really
easy!

how do I donate resources to xiph.org?
...ew weeks ago as soon as I became aware of the project.
I searched through your web site, but I could not see any instruction
on how to donate resources (money, hw, etc.) to the project. Can you
add such instruction on your web page (names, addresses, phone
numbers)? Also I would feel comfortable donating if some information
regarding the people responsible for the project is provided on the
web site. Thanks.

NVidia Hardware Donation possible
Hi,
I talked to our IT guy over lunch. He thinks there is an old GT630 with
384 shaders somewhere. The 384 shader GPU is the GK208.
Given we can find it and it is obsolete, I probably can donate this one too.
Let me know if you are looking for this one.

Martin

Google Ads in the Wiki
A fairly serious question: how much can we (as users) donate to get the
Google ads off the Wiki? I guess this does not give so much revenue, and
it is really distracting. So, if we can match the annual income of Google
Ads on the Wiki, I think I (and others) are willing to compensate this
with donations.
I have seen some potential Dutch users getting turned away seeing the main
