with the backport. Talk to its maintainer.

Just like every other release of the last ~ 18 years, I made it available
ASAP and that is usually within hours.

| I am currently running R 3.3.3 on an android device.
Those are backport problems.
My android got stuck updating from jessie to stretch so that I could use
testing and not have that problem.
Also note that there is a mailing list r-sig-debian for exactly this type of
question. I am CC my reply there, please keep follow-up on the list rather
than my inbox.

Hi, requests regarding the backports in the official Debian backport repositories (like jessie-backports) should go to the debian-science list. For stretch, I uploaded a backport of R 3.4.3 including the armhf architecture to CRAN https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/#supported platforms but I don't know if you are looking for arm64? Sorry, I was dreaming> repositories (like jessie-backports) should go to the debian-science list.to the debian-backports list. Johannes
Following the 'Using R on Android' [1] piece and the 'R 3.4 on your Android phone' [2] follow-up, has anybody tried to simply 'apt-get dist-upgrade' through to testing? I tried (once) but some upgrade failed. Kinda nice to see these armhf binaries come to good use though :) Dirk [1] http://selbydavid.com/2017/12/29/r-android/ [2] https://nxskok.github.io/blog/2017/12/30/installing-r-3-4-on-your-android-phone/ -- http://dirk.eddelbuettel.com | @eddelbuettel | edd at debian.org
