Numerous people have asked for a binary version of the SJava package for Windows that will work with R-1.3.1, and finally I found time to build one. Additionally, this version now provides a mechanism to call R from a Java application (as well as Java from R) on Windows in much the same way as is available for Unix. (And the Windows version is significantly more stable given the thread-aware libraries on that OS.) The new version is available from http://www.omegahat.org/RSJava/SJavaWin_0.62-7.zip You will have to set your PATH variable correctly to access the relevant DLLs.
