Hi all After a trivial install on my Debian system (just gnome-games for my wife!), my R programs decided not to work, since the 'date' library wouldn't load. The message I got is: Error in dyn.load(x, as.logical(local), as.logical(now)) : unable to load shared library "/usr/lib/R/library/date/libs/date.so": /usr/lib/R/library/date/libs/date.so: undefined symbol: atexit Error in library(date) : .First.lib failed I've run out of ideas about what may have happened or changed. Do you have any idea or clue about where to find? I use R-base 1.3.0.1, and 'date' is the only package I've installed myself (it has worked properly until today). The rest of packages work flawlessly. I've not subscribed to the help list for just a doubt. I'd thus appreciate if you mail your ideas to my address. If that's not convenient, please let me know and I'll subscribe. Thanks for your help or feedback. ---- Rodolfo Canet -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-help mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !)
