R help - May 2001 - Simple example of automating testing

Hi,

Can anyone suggest a simple example of automated testing in R that I might look
at and learn from? I can think of a variety of ways to do testing in R, but am
hopeful that there is a standard recommended way. I saw references to testing
in the "Writing R Extensions" manual, but nothing clear enough (to
me!) for me to
make my own.

How about the examples in the packages such as foreign and rpart on CRAN?
They are running automatically by R CMD check.  Alternatively, R's own
tests directory in the sources will provide lots of examples.
