R help - Apr 2001 - Procedure for contouring points in a ternary diagram.

Dear R folk,

I want to contour the density of points within a ternary diagram defined by 
three geochemical variables [a closed array]. Is there any code available 
in R for creating and displaying density contours in a ternary diagram 
using variable size search triangles?
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
