R help - Mar 2001 - R on XEmacs or emacs?

In want to know if any body had used ESS with R in XEmacs instead of
Emacs?
What is the difference?
How can I configure ESS to work on XEmacs with R?

It works great on Unix (including Linux).

It barfs royally, for process interaction, on Windows.

The latter should be fixed sometime in April, I hope.
