R help - Dec 2000 - function write

Dear R users,

how can i export data from R to  excel (or text file)?

i use write funstion but i ve the following error message :
write(charlotte,"h:/hakim/charlotte/essai3.txt",nc=2)
Error in cat(list(...), file, sep, fill, labels, append) : 
        argument 1 not yet handled by cat

Read the R Data Import/Export Manual (in version 1.2.0).
