R help - Jul 2000 - Check errors

Dear list,

I tried to install R-1.1.0 under SuSe Linux 5.2.

./configure --prefix=/usr/applic/packages/R
make 
make install

worked without error.

make check 

led to

Something went wrong... 

The end of base-Ex.Rout may contain a clue as to *what* went wrong.

If it was a crash of R, then the last few lines of output may be
missing due to buffering and then it is more useful to run

../../bin/R --vanilla < base-Ex.R

(you'll probably need to press Space several times to get past the
paged output).
